MDP’s Financial Services team focuses on investment opportunities in a wide range of sectors, including:

• Asset management, including investment managers, distributors of investment products, and information services companies
• Specialty finance, including companies in specialty commercial and consumer lending markets
• Financial technology and outsourcing, including transaction, payment, core, account and other processing companies, as well as credit services companies
• Consulting and insurance brokerage companies

The MDP team typically pursues investments in financial services companies exhibiting certain favorable characteristics, which may include barriers to entry and inherent franchise value emanating from differentiated distribution capabilities, servicing capabilities, or industry‑specific knowledge; conservative accounting and financing policies; aggressive utilization of technology; favorable industry or demographic trends; and outstanding management.
